First date ideas boise. Five Fantastic First Date Ideas In Boise

I was actually able to afford going. They have so many things to look at. My year-old son and 8-year-old nephew were bored looking at everything until they got to the activity center.

I wish they had more activities. It is aimed more for small children. I think they had the most fun with the broadcasting weather station. They have different exhibits, so what you see in photos may be different from what you see when you go. I really loved our trip to the discovery center. I have children that are teenagers as well as a 6 year old.

They loved seeing the creature art exhibit. And loved the T-Rex. I do recommend paying for the year. With my family of 5 it pays for itself in 2 visits! I called ahead and let them know when I would get there and got right in on a Saturday. It gives my children a great place to use their minds and get away from the video games. We will be visiting frequently and make it our family tradition that they will never forget.

Not what it used to be. They took out a lot of fun hands-on stuff that used to be there, for example, the big rope chair and the water bottle glow wall! Maybe it is because of covid, but with such a little hands on selection I feel like they should lower the prices.

I felt I payed a little too much to see dead animals on the wall. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. An extra star for the kind workers though. Hamburger restaurant. Show 2 more. Area-sourced fried potatoes are the star at this eco-friendly burger chain with microbrews on tap. Boise Fry Company decided to give good old fries the place they deserve on the menu: as a main.

Burgers are optional. There is an art to the whole process: first you choose your potato, which can be gold, russet, red lady, yam, sweet potato, or purple.

Having a burger for dinner with your partner is another one of the best date ideas in Boise. You can go to the Boise Fry Company for this. Here, you can get high-quality burgers and amazing fries that go with your burger! They offer an insane number of French fry combinations from potato type to cut.

Ordered their mushroom burger and a small order of red potato fries. There is a large variety of sauces to choose from, including a blueberry ketchup which was pretty good. The fries were expectedly fantastic, being the focus of the restaurant. Maybe a bit pricier than I expected going in, but otherwise had a good experience. Service was quick and staff were friendly. First time here. I did the Golden potatoes for my fry options.

Overall good burger. I thought it was a little dry, but my daughter had the same minus lettuce, bacon and she did cheddar cheese. Staff was friendly and that also had local beers on tap too. That was a plus. Farmers' market. Located on West Front Street, the Boise Farmers Market is a weekly market where a variety of vendors sell local agricultural products and food goods. Products include baked goods, cheeses, fish, fruits, meats, vegetables, and more. If you are looking for unique date ideas, Boise Farmers Market is a great place to visit.

The Boise Farmers Market is a wonderful farmers market in the city. You can shop for fresh fruit and vegetables at this place. You will know the source of your food! My cats rave about the catnip!!

She will get 1 frozen uncooked neck every afternoon. EBT accepted. Top notch, 1 place for fresh from the field produce and SO much more! This week for Christmas gifts I purchased body butters, cuticle cream, spritz cookies, Blackberry hard cider, and Grump Scrumpy cider.

This time of year is a bit limited in produce but still met our needs. You will not be disappointed in the huge selection of items! Mexican tamales, pastries, fresh eggs, wild game, duck, personal care, candles and so much more!

April is too early in the growing season for most produce items. However, the foods and crafts are worth the time. There seems to be plenty of parking, at least after 10am. A bonus to the outing is the Green Acres food truck activity is right across the street. Miss the old feel of downtown. I will get back to being Awesome. However it was truly a great awaited experience to be there again. Every inch of the restaurant is amazingly decorated with stunning art fixtures, interior design and more!

Barbacoa is very unique in that it is both an old Boise restaurant, and a brand new Boise restaurant. This is because the building burned down a few years ago, and they completely rebuilt from the ground up.

So Restaurants that have a waterfront location, usually cheap out on the decor or food, Barbacoa Grill however, are the exact opposite. Great food, great service, great location! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, heck, even Tuesday. They are a perfect place to eat. We will be back. Really cool atmosphere. Staff is excellent, really nice, attentive The ribs were dry, the sauteed mushroom side dry and boring and I love mushrooms and I couldn't eat much of it Desserts were large and yummy.

It's good. The food is not great, just good, not worth the price. Food was good, with the exception of the Tuna tartare. This is supposed to be one of their dishes that they are known for and it was bland, no taste and served with lettuce, which kept the bland affect. Crab cakes, steak, artichoke bites all were very good. Fried cheesecake bites were scrumptious and drinks were decently good!

Service was personable and prices were very high and a louder atmosphere, but overall a nice dinner. Extended stay hotel. The Oxford Suites Boise is, undoubtedly, one of the most romantic hotels in Boise.

Garnet hues dominate the property, lending it a sexy and sensual feel. The theme extends to the rooms and suites, especially the suites that come with jetted bathtubs. Get away with the wife! Unfortunately our concert we were supposed to go to was canceled.

The amazing staff and wonderful hotel made it a great weekend. The price and attitude of the staff was much better than the competition down the street. Free drinks in the evening and the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. This is the kind of service you look for and never find. Well folks I have found it at the Oxford suites in Boise Idaho. Once again great price and amazing staff, very clean and tidy as well. Thank you so much. Great job!!

We will be back!! We stayed here on a road trip after driving 8 hours. Perfect for what we needed. Front desk service was prompt and friendly, and our room was just as expected: large, clean, and quiet. We traveled with our golden retriever, and I was impressed with their dog-friendly offerings and rooms located near an outdoor area.

Our golden retriever enjoyed the king bed with us. My husband and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. We got the king suite and it was very clean and so nice and big. The bed was very comfy! The front desk employees were very nice. The breakfast had a lot of options and was awesome.

Overall very clean and fancy hotel. Definitely would recommend it to anyone! Perfect for road trips See time and distance between places, and optimize your route to get the most of your day. The hotel is set on acres of lush greenery right next to Boise River, which means there are numerous areas on the property to enjoy quiet romantic moments with your partner.

A majestic water fountain and a beautiful chandelier in the lobby greet you on arrival. The Riverside Hotel is an amazing property with great amenities. The outdoor pool and hot tub are one of a kind. The exercise room is a good size. The breakfast area was several steps up from other hotels. Large TVs on the wall with beautiful local art. Each room has a walk-out or balcony facing the pool area. The entire staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I will book here again. We brought a large baseball 60 plus team to stay over 4th of July.

It was an amazing experience. We all had so much fun. The hotel was incredibly welcoming with their staff, accommodating and offered a wonderful breakfast for all our players, coaches and families. We will for sure be back to stay. So much fun! Highly recommend. I know our Crush group will be back!! Riverside is a beautiful hotel! Our room was clean, well stocked, and very nicely decorated. The heated pool and hot tub where phenomenal! So relaxing to sit in the steamy hot tub under the Christmas lights in the cold, crisp air.

The included breakfast buffet was delicious as well. They even have an omelet bar. It was such a nice date night for my husband and I. What about a mix of different cheeses and chocolates and a variety of dipping choices?. This is a great place to bring a date and get to know each other in a unique dining experience.

Fancy enough to fill that special dinner date vibe but open enough to not feel too stuffy. The food and drinks were great and exceeded our appetites! We opted for the Salted Caramel Toffee dipping choice for dessert pictured , which was fantastic.

The service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. I need to make clear that the service was as good as possible under the circumstances. Apparently people called sick and even the bartender was attending tables.

Our server was kind and very nice, but the waiting between courses took too long. The food was good. The price I insist, the people working did their best under the circumstances, but the waiting was extremely long.

I have always had great experiences at any Melting Pot I've visited across the country. This one was as expected. Delicious, fresh, and friendly service. I love that they added gluten free options as well! Always a win on my list! Few romantic hotels in Boise are as romantic as the Anniversary Inn, perfect for couples who love wild, themed rooms. You get to choose to sleep in the Hayloft Suite, which has actual barn doors. My husband and I have rented 5 different rooms.

I have not had any issues. The breakfast is awesome and the tubs are amazing!! She goes above and wayyyy beyond! If I could give out more stars I would! I will forever recommended. Our stay was overall pretty good. We enjoyed the themed room and the jacuzzi. The breakfast was surprisingly yummy.

Not only was the bed super uncomfortable hello major back ache today and worn down, but there was noise all night long. My husband and I loved our room! We got the movie package and a bath bomb. The tub was big and jetted so it was perfect for a relaxing bath. The small dining area was perfect along with the bed area. The service was great, respectful, and well managed. We will definitely be coming back! Visitor center.

Watching live raptors is less trivial than popular things to do in Boise for couples, but it is surely an exciting experience for life.

You have a choice of live bird shows and walking tours, so reserve at least two hours for the date. Truly loved this place! The staff is amazing and pricing is great for every budget and most importantly the entry feed goes to feeding the birds there and to help save endangered species like the California Condor through the sites breeding facilities!

Amazing and informative place to visit with awesome displays of the birds housed here, such as the one I attended where the falcon flew around the room you're inside while the staff member explained the bird and the things the fund is doing to save the falcon and other birds of prey from extinction! I highly recommend this place for everyone to visit! If you can visit I highly encourage you to go to their website and donate money to help these birds survive and thrive well into the future!

My in laws were visiting from out of town and love birds so we thought we would take them to the Birds of Prey and it was great! The birds there are just so beautiful. Make sure to go there when there is a show. Being up close to a Bald Eagle was amazing in itself, but watching them fly?!? Mind blowing! Very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Enjoyed the indoor museum as well. So much information and birds of prey to see… both alive and taxidermies.

Great gift shop as well! Unique, fun family adventure! Mentioned on 1 list. Eclectic restaurant. Artful, farm-to-fork New American fare showcased in a minimalist space with stylish, rustic accents. A newer addition to the Boise Food scene this is truly one of the most eclectic fusion restaurants there is. All the ingredients are the highest quality productions that Idaho and the Pacific Northwest have to offer and the result is amazing food. Only open Wednesday through Saturday at set seating times.

A wonderfully unique fine dining experience. Definitely food prepared by an artist. The menu we had was themed on ingredients that don't get much love. All was delicious, wine pairings were on point. The "single" table experience allowed us to get to know some wonderful locals, good conversation, gave us some ideas of things to do in Idaho.

Thank you so much for the the great experience during our vacation to Idaho. Very impressed with the atmosphere, staff, food, and presentation. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their restaurant and food. Love that all of their food is locally sourced. We waited too long to finally go to this amazing restaurant. I'm sad to think all of the meals I've missed. It's a beautiful space, nice ambient music, excellent service, the food is beyond anything you can imagine, it's complex yet unassuming, in fact several starter items were to be eaten with your hands.

The food is creative and delicious. Thank you for an amazing evening. Collaborate with friends in real time Plan along with your friends with live syncing and collaborative editing. Movie theater. Slide 1 of 3. Going to The Egyptian Theatre is one of the most romantic things to do in Boise. This is a historic theater with a beautiful interior. This interior makes seeing a show or a movie a great experience.

Truly a piece of art. Amazing venue with awesome staff. All the charm of a theater experience packed into a small, intimate setting. Boise is fortunate to have such a venue. Huge thanks to the people who make this possible for people to enjoy. We went to see the Leonid and friends. They were excellent.

A band from Rusdia that sounds just like Chicago! Their show was fun and we had a great time. The theater was nice but, the seats didn't have much padding. It was a fantastic evening. We really enjoyed ourselves. The Kathryn Albertson Park is a acre park, one of several riverside parks named for important local women.

Kathryn McCurry Albertson and her husband donated the park to the city in The park features paved footpaths, a variety of wildlife, and gazebos that can be reserved for special occasions.

With so many parks in the area, this one definitely makes the top 3! Lots of wildlife to admire and sunshine to catch. There are cute little resting areas to enjoy too. Beautiful little Park! Trails are very clean an d birds and squirrels are everywhere.

Hope you enjoy the pictures and if you are in the area stop by for a visit, you won't be disappointed. It's a nature park not a park to picnic in. More for walking around and seeing wild flowers and trees. Kinda like a hike in the mountains but all on one level. It's beautiful. Guest house. This historic home makes for excellent boutique accommodation in the heart of the town.

Got a room here for my daughter while she was in town visiting. The price was very good! She loved the place and said how incredibly comfortable the bed was. It was also close to downtown and so convenient for walking to restaurants and entertainment. We highly recommend this place. Excellent location and well put together suites.

Stayed 2 nights in the Nature Suite with my year-old son and 1 night in the Traveler Suite when my wife joined us. Both suites are equipped with all the creature comforts of an apartment. We'll definitely stay there on our next trip to Boise.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Boise Guest House, and could not have been happier. The property is beautiful. The location is perfect, well within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, activities, and the River Greenbelt. Chris and Lois went above and beyond to make sure our stay was outstanding. We stayed in the "Travel Suite. We enjoyed bringing our meals in or cooking in the kitchen, and sitting near the fountain outside for dinner.

What a relaxing stay. For instance, it has limo services to ferry you and your significant other around the best places in Boise. A great place for group fun and entertainment. Comfortable beds and attentive service. They accepted my Pit Bull with a smile and not a grimace.

That was important. Sound proof clean high end rooms that make you relaxed and comfortable. The perfect in-town weekend getaway. What a Christmas to remember! We stay at Hotel 43 often, but this was our first Christmas there. It was fabulous. A huge shout out to the hospitality staff for everything they do to make it awesome. The front desk staff is always amazing and super friendly.

We love staying there. I woke up at least 4 times to fix throughout the night. On a better note, the front desk staff was great. I was very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend with all the other hotel choices in downtown Boise.

Thomas Jefferson Davis donated 43 acres of land in memory of his wife, Julia Davis, in Beautifully manicured spaces, with geese, ducks and man made lakes Even romantic paddle boats.

Tennis courts, and open spaces for picnics and sports. It's become my pre work get away. I love to visit the geese and watch the goslings grow. There's something for everyone.

I've several places where I can literally escape to watch the wind go by and not a hint of being in a city park. I love that there are tennis courts, a playground and close proximity to several museums and the zoo. It's been an awesome venue for lots of bonding time with the family. We went to the Zoo. It was quaint and it needs a lot of work. Many exhibits were closed and most of the animals were not visible. Lots of potential to be a great zoo! You can go to the Idaho State Museum to learn about the history of Boise.

You can see all kinds of interactive exhibits at this place. Also, you could do a guided tour of the museum and learn even more together. Very nice displays and interactive displays. It's an ok place to visit if you want to learn a little more of Idaho history.

However, most of the museum is just facts typed up and post on the walls, not very many physical artifacts that would find at other museums. The price is also kinda steep and lack of parking make this museum something I visited at of pure boredom.

However, it does offer some cool things to do for children so If you have kids it might be a perfect place for you to visit. The Idaho State Museum was completely rebuilt 3 years ago and is filled with modern, informative displays about the geology, people and history of the state. There's plenty of free parking. It's well worth a visit.

The Inn at Capitol is one of the most romantic hotels in Boise. The inn beautifully balances abstract artwork and decor with the cozy, minimalist design of the rooms. The architecturally amazing rooms feature pops of color and dashes of sparkle, with pleasantly surprising diagonal accent walls in places. We really liked this hotel! We stay at The Grove usually, or Hotel 43, and In at is a step up in quality.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed with a fireplace and balcony. The bathroom is luxurious. They offer complimentary wine or beer at check in as well as snacks and other beverages. The bedding is high quality and we slept very well. We were treated like royalty! Upgraded to a beautiful suite and food credit as well! The entire staff was always smiling and eager to please in any way possible. A special shout out to Adam and Feda for making our stay there the most memorable of any our hotel stays across the nation!

Exceptional to say the least. Thank you for everything. Hope to see you again in the not to distant future! Boise is an amazing city and staying here made it that more amazing! Thanks again! We always stay at the Inn and ! What a great place! Every room is very well appointed and have great views! The staff is always very welcoming! When you walk in you are greeted right away. As you are being checked in they will offer you a complimentary beer or glass of wine.

There are also complimentary snacks, bottled water, and sodas to choose from. They are within walking distance to bars and restaurants downtown. Thank you for being always being so wonderful to us!

We cannot wait to stay with you again! Wine bar. Coiled Wine Bar is a hangout that allows you to sample all of their locally made wine, right in the heart of downtown Boise. Be sure to check their schedule online, because they regularly have fun and enticing events. I had the best experience here! Angela is amazing! My friend and I came here while she was visiting and tried the red and the white flights. Angela was helpful and kind and really went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience.

And if the experience itself wasn't enough to bring me back, the wine was amazing! The best Petite Sirah around! Thanks Coiled and Angela for being excellent at what you do! Lovely to have Coiled Wines downtown.

Such a pretty location. He let us taste many wines and was very knowledgeable of them. I would go back just to visit with him again! He started out our night on the town in the best way possible! Show 7 more. Excellent food and cocktails! Service was fantastic and they were very attentive. High quality, flavorful menu. Pictured is the fig flatbread. It was delicious! Not pictured, I had the king salmon and was so impressed with the horseradish honey sauce on it! I would definitely be back!

I had a great experience for my moms birthday. We ordered the whipped feta appetizer and the presentation was great. It tasted very good. I ordered the papardelle pasta and it was really not my favorite. The walnuts did not fit in the dish and the sauce tasted off.

I would never order that again. However, the food did come hot and the squash that was in the dish was good. The sauce ruined the whole dish. My mom got the cheese ravioli with the pesto cream sauce and that was so delicious I wish I had gotten that.

I will be coming back. Hopefully Richards sees this and changes the sauce on that dish. A credit card was required to hold the res. Arriving it was quiet, but it seemed that the staff was busy.

Our server was professional, if a bit stiff. Hostess also was setting tables, but I guess that they don't use tray service to reset as she was holding bread plates against her sweater before placing them on the tables. This didn't appear sanitary to us. The server was quite gracious to accommodate us. It took up unnecessary space. Service appeared to be of a fine dining level, but our table was never de-crumbed, perhaps that is not a standard that they follow.

Entrees arrived next. The turkey was juicy, but we both remarked at how salty it tasted. Perhaps it was salt-brined to keep it moist, but I needed several refills of iced tea just to finish. My disappointed came in the small ramekin of cranberry sauce as it was so minuscule to almost be missed on the plate. The house made whipped cream had an odd texture, but excellent flavor. The chocolate mousse was a disappointment. Much to airy, but dense, almost cake-like, at the same time without the depth of chocolate that was expected.

Would we return? After posting this review, I received a tersely worded reply from Richard, the owner, of which he has since softened his response, but I saved the original reply here; "Glad to see you had the time to post this diatribe on every review site. Perhaps we should not have put you on our wait list - then neither of us would have been disappointed".

No apology, no offer. No need to choose the best brewery, when you and your sweetheart can rely on gurus and go on a fabulous adventure. You will visit 3 Craft Beer breweries, learn about the process from grain to glass, and the stories of their owners. For sure, you will try the tastiest samples and get some gifts. Great experience! Zoe is the bomb. Good beer, good atmosphere, and with the exception of one weirdo, good folk. I met a fellow midwestern couple and an Idaho native that I could have spent all night talking to.

Super friendly and comfortably sized town. Enjoy it while you can Boise, before it gets too congested. Here on a Thursday evening. What a unique place. Love the outdoor dart boards.

Inside reflects the true brewery area. Quite and a true following of patrons. Had the bike route stout on nitro. What a great tasting stout. Nice and smooth. My wife had the blackberry boom cider. Plus on the table there is a card to invest into the brewery.

Why not? What's better than wandering around downtown with your person? Easy: wandering around downtown with your person while snacking on local food, drinking local coffee, and looking at local art at the Farmers' Market! The Boise Farmers' Market is open every Saturday, but we definitely recommend making this one a summer date.

This one is a little bit of a drive, but you have a few different options depending on how far you want to drive and what type of adventure you're looking for! This hotspring is for those that want a more civilized experience! All of the water at this "mini-resort" is from the Idaho City hotspring up the hill from the location.

It includes a giant "hot-pool" a hot tub, and for those that are looking for a romantic experience, you can rent one of the private huts. This experience includes your own private hot tub, drinks, snacks, and a beautiful view of the forest. This one is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. Unlike "The Springs" everything about this one is natural. Right alongside the river, there are beautiful hot spring pools and waterfalls to relax in while you take in the nature around you. To read more about this one, check out Evangelea Seelye's blog and pictures to learn more about this memorable trip.

Just outside downtown Boise there is a little hiking spot surrounded by a nature preserve: Camelback Park! The hike itself is short and not too challenging, but lets you see Boise from a different point of view.

After you climb down off the mountain, wrap around the back to walk through the paths of the nature preserve to get some peace and quiet. Once you have had your fill, head on over to Hyde Park to wander through some shops and grab a bite to eat at one of the quaint restaurants along the street.

Feeling like getting around a little bit quicker? Go pick up a budget longboard from The Boardroom right outside downtown, get your balance figured out, and get rolling! Glide through the buildings, grab some lunch, take some pictures, and make some memories.

Sometimes it is the simple things like this that can be the most fun. For those of you wanting something a little more traditionally romantic, let's get you some dinner and dessert! One of Boise's most popular fine dining experiences, Chandler's Steakhouse, offers everything you could want for a romantic dinner date.

The atmosphere is perfect with the Piano playing, the low lights, and amazing downtown location. Their website says it all:. Life is too short to not experience as much as possible with the person you love!

So close your eyes, scroll, and whatever date you land on, go do it! You're guaranteed to have a good time on whatever date you chose. Home About FAQ. Utility Pages. Contact Us Book Now. Let's make some memories in Boise with your person! Boise is an amazing city full of beautiful sights and endless activities, indoors and outdoors.
